COMPOSITION

100% ORGANIC COTTON

The weaving is made from GOTS certified organic cotton and the dyes are certified free of heavy metals . India is today the leading producer of organic cotton in the world. A recent law requires that the processing of the raw material takes place in the country itself, thus promoting the creation of added value for the benefit of Indian artisans or manufacturers.

MAINTENANCE TIPS

The Fouta is easy to maintain. However, we recommend that you follow these few tips and suggestions in order to enjoy your Fouta for as long as possible.

Before use:

The fringes of the Foutas are twisted and knotted by hand. If any knots appear loose, they should be tightened, especially before washing . This will allow the fringes to remain intact over time.

It is strongly recommended to put the fouta in cold water for several hours to make the fabric permeable to water then carry out a first wash at 30°C which will soften the fabric and make it more absorbent . A short machine program is enough.

Powdered detergent is not recommended. Use a mild liquid detergent .

After use:

Then, the Fouta is machine washable up to a temperature of 40°C . The fabric and its colors resist it very well. And the more you wash it, the softer the Fouta will become.

You should not use softening products because these, by adhering to the fibers of the fabric, will reduce the absorbency of the Fouta.

The tumble dryer should also be avoided . Particularly scorching hot air may cause your Fouta to shrink. We recommend air drying flat or on a drying rack. If you wash by hand, avoid twisting it too much to wring it out, so as not to deform the fabric.

To avoid crushing the fibers and avoiding losing the advantages of the honeycomb fabric which allows greater water absorption, limit ironing and prefer steam ironing without pressing the iron on the fabric, or vertical, which is even better.

FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE FOUTA

For use at the beach:

If you want to maintain the beauty and softness of your Fouta for longer, here is what you need to know if you use it for the beach:

- Never leave it wet and rolled up for a long time .

- Remove the sand before leaving the beach
Carefully remove the sand from your Fouta by shaking it on the beach.

If you want to remove the sand that could have become encrusted in the weaving of the Fouta, you can use a hand vacuum cleaner. You can also before washing it, put it in a basin of lukewarm water and swirl it around for a while. When it softens, the sand should fall to the bottom of the basin.

Follow the maintenance instructions as best as possible

In summary for a more sustainable Fouta:

Check the tightness of the knots.

Use liquid detergent and no fabric softener.

Wash between 30 and 40°C.

Air dry.

Iron with steam without crushing the iron on the fabric.
